Long Day Care

Long Day Care, half and full days available for children aged 0-5 years. Qualified, experienced staff, stimulating early learning programs, huge outdoor play areas, preschool drop off and pickup for Gilles Plains Preschool, fee subsidies available, food and nappies provided, not for profit centre with parent committee.

Long Day Care is provided on the community campus by North East Community Children centre, offered by North East  Community Children's Centre; 8261 8981

Preschool

Pre-school is available for children who turn 4 years of age before the 1st of May each year. Children are eligible for up to five sessions per week, for four terms before starting school. Early entry may be available to Aboriginal children, new arrivals and children under the Guardianship of the Minister. Lunch time care is provided for children attending full days. The on-site primary school caters for children from Reception to Year 7.

Playgroup

Nunga Playgroup

A supported playgroup run by Save the Children and Maringga Turtpandi is available Mondays 10am – 11.30 am and is held at Maringga Turtpandi. Limited transport is available if booked in advance.

Gilles Plains Playgroup

A support playgroup for families with children birth - 5 years is available. Please see term program.

Baby Bounce

Baby Bounce is a music and movement program, an opportunity for families to get active, singing and dancing to well-known nursery rhymes. This program is targeted to children aged 0 - 5 years.

School Transition

Children transitioning to Gilles Plains primary school will have several visits to the school prior to their formal commencement. The school will contact you about these visits. For children attending other schools, the school of your choice will make contact with you as required.
